Canvas Art

Hi everyone...here i am finally..back to blogging with my favorite work i.e. creating layouts, but this time these are canvas layouts that i created.

Till now i had been busy with my college and studies because of which i couldn't get time to share with anything i made, now as my graduation is over i have taken 1 year off for my passion and will be making more and more things. I am even planning to put up an exhibition sometime soon. So without wasting anymore time here are my latest creations:

When i found it boring to paint,i started decorating canvases.....
My recent creation says "life is how you see it"..so true it is...whether you wish to see the cage or you wish to see the free birds on the branch..it's your perspective....you will have the kind of life which u wish to live...if you see negativity you can't help but be surrounded by it, but if you try and see even bit of bright side, your life will brighten.

This is what i created which i find really pretty. Over time my work has improved but i am still very far from where i want to be. This a canvas of size 6"*8", which i decorated using 2 DIY things.
For the design i have used :
1. Birdcage chipboard set, which i bought from Itsy Bitsy long ago
2. The big paper flower again bought from Itsy Bitsy.
3. Small flowers i bought from Ali Express. and a local dealer
4. Letter sticker that were in my DCWV Travel paper pack
5. Locally bought feathers, pearls and lace trim
6. Flourish diecuts (unfortunately, i am not really sure of the names of the dies as i bought the diecuts from someone)
7. Lattice Stencil

Then comes the most important part, the background. For the background i made a Glimmer mist on my own by mixing few things. (lemme know in the comments if you would wana know how to make on your own) and i was really happy the way it came out to be. And the pattern on the background is added using my ever favorite texture paste (which i learnt from Gabrielle Pollacco's blog) and using it with the lattice stencil. The lil orange shade you can see on the background over pink is added using the Vintage photo Distress ink. Voila! background is done....now all i had to do was to layer the things. Finally i added a glitter outline to the cage and birds using gold and diamond stickles.

That's all!..but wait...that's all only for my above canvas but as promised that i'll share one more, so here you go...my another canvas creation :)

To create this canvas i first covered it with my homemade texture paste on it i glued bits of  musical note tissue using mod podge. Then i randomly added 3 different colored distress ink with wet brush to make the tissue seem merged. The distress inks i used for the base are- Old paper,Vintage photo and mustard seed. Then i layered the prepared base with lots of mulberry roses and a wood button and for the scattered effect i added small buttons here and there. I also added Kaisercraft Pennyroyale rubons on the top and bottom opposite ends. Few of the other things i added were local bought airplane and heart metal charms and filler mulberry gardenia.

I hope you liked my creations.
Don't forget to leave your thought about this post and lemme know if you would want me to make something specific. And if you try making something similar do share with me either in comments or on my fb page. Would love to see it.

xoxo.
