Canvas Art

Hi everyone...here i am finally..back to blogging with my favorite work i.e. creating layouts, but this time these are canvas layouts that i created.

Till now i had been busy with my college and studies because of which i couldn't get time to share with anything i made, now as my graduation is over i have taken 1 year off for my passion and will be making more and more things. I am even planning to put up an exhibition sometime soon. So without wasting anymore time here are my latest creations:

When i found it boring to paint,i started decorating canvases.....
My recent creation says "life is how you see it"..so true it is...whether you wish to see the cage or you wish to see the free birds on the branch..it's your perspective....you will have the kind of life which u wish to live...if you see negativity you can't help but be surrounded by it, but if you try and see even bit of bright side, your life will brighten.

This is what i created which i find really pretty. Over time my work has improved but i am still very far from where i want to be. This a canvas of size 6"*8", which i decorated using 2 DIY things.
For the design i have used :
1. Birdcage chipboard set, which i bought from Itsy Bitsy long ago
2. The big paper flower again bought from Itsy Bitsy.
3. Small flowers i bought from Ali Express. and a local dealer
4. Letter sticker that were in my DCWV Travel paper pack
5. Locally bought feathers, pearls and lace trim
6. Flourish diecuts (unfortunately, i am not really sure of the names of the dies as i bought the diecuts from someone)
7. Lattice Stencil

Then comes the most important part, the background. For the background i made a Glimmer mist on my own by mixing few things. (lemme know in the comments if you would wana know how to make on your own) and i was really happy the way it came out to be. And the pattern on the background is added using my ever favorite texture paste (which i learnt from Gabrielle Pollacco's blog) and using it with the lattice stencil. The lil orange shade you can see on the background over pink is added using the Vintage photo Distress ink. Voila! background is done....now all i had to do was to layer the things. Finally i added a glitter outline to the cage and birds using gold and diamond stickles.

That's all!..but wait...that's all only for my above canvas but as promised that i'll share one more, so here you go...my another canvas creation :)

To create this canvas i first covered it with my homemade texture paste on it i glued bits of  musical note tissue using mod podge. Then i randomly added 3 different colored distress ink with wet brush to make the tissue seem merged. The distress inks i used for the base are- Old paper,Vintage photo and mustard seed. Then i layered the prepared base with lots of mulberry roses and a wood button and for the scattered effect i added small buttons here and there. I also added Kaisercraft Pennyroyale rubons on the top and bottom opposite ends. Few of the other things i added were local bought airplane and heart metal charms and filler mulberry gardenia.

I hope you liked my creations.
Don't forget to leave your thought about this post and lemme know if you would want me to make something specific. And if you try making something similar do share with me either in comments or on my fb page. Would love to see it.

I made two layouts one was just like that and, another as a relative's marriage gift.

The above layout is what i made just for collection.I made a honeycomb stencil on my own using the php sheet, and then made a paste which i used over the stencil and got the honeycomb pattern(The recipe of paste is found on Gabrielle Pollacco's blog). The flowers are also handmade and rest i added punched heart, used ceramic paste to write "CUTE" and also to make that pink design over the printed flowers.

The picture of the above layout is not really clear but still i suppose you can see what all i used.I used a pattern paper from the Floral Stack, then used my newly bought Martha Stewart Circle edge punch to which i added a pretty ruffle lace bought from the local lace shop,i used the Eiffel Tower die and added a sticker to it showing "perfect" just for this perfect couple and also used another die at the right bottom corner i.e. Spellbinders Fantastic Flourish 2.Rest i added mulberry roses, few pearls,a ribbon bow and got it framed.I did not take reference for this from anywhere.
The couple loved this gift..hope you all like the layout too...do not forget to comment. :)

Doodle art and sketching

Here's my 1st try for doodle art, and i am totally satisfied with my work.I used a fountain pen to make the whole painting and it's completely free-hand..no ruler,no pencil,no eraser, just directly done with the pen and i did not use any reference for it. Hope you all like it..

Another thing which i made was a Bob Marley sketch...
For this of course i used a reference.Hope you all like this too.

Do not forget to leave your valuable comments :)

Loving Memories

So it's my 1st attempt to make a small scrapbook/album.I wanted to gift something to a friend so thought it would be a great idea.

I have used the patterned paper from La Creme stack and have used 3 pretty brads.'LOVING MEMORIES' are the letter sticker from the DCWV Travel stack. The red rose is made using the die i bought from ItsyBitsy and have used 2 li'l off-white pearls, the leaves and used the ribbon,al bought from my local stationary.I have also distressed the edges of the paper.

Here i have used the patterned paper from Floral stack and used the Eiffiel tower die i bought recently. The mulberry roses used here were bought from Lulupu.

In the whole thing this is my most favorite part.I used the 3d flowers i had bought from Michaels when i had been to US and the li'l bow is made of organza ribbon which i bought from ItsyBitsy.

In this last part i have used MFT Cameo die and added rhinestone to it.On the other side i have used the Victorian Flourish die and added the pearls.I have embosses the pattern paper using the Embossing folder bought from ItsyBitsy and then distressed it for the design to be prominent.

Hope you all liked my 1st album/scrapbook attempt. Will be uploading some more projects soon.

Love is in the air

"Love" was the only word that came to my mind during this time of the year as the Valentine's day is approaching soon and so i thought of making something on that.In December i finally bought my bigshot so now i would be able to craft better.I hope all my blog viewers like this.

I kept the dominant color as RED is it's considered as the color of love.....but i didn't want to overdo the use of red color so tried to neutralize it with the Hearts pattern paper i purchased online from ItsyBitsy and the Vintage photo distress ink bought from Crafters Corner.

The stitching is all hand-done.I have used the Lattice heart punch to give it more 'love' feel. The flourish used on the top is actually the die-cut and a part of the 'Victorian Romance flourish'.The alphabets in "L O V E" are what i bought from ItsyBitsy and i covered them with glitter on my own and the cute heart is also cut on my own.

For the inside i just kept it simple and used the Micia Cutsie Alphabet Clear Stamp i recently bought from Lulupu and i just loved to use it.Although i have no one to give this card to but so many friends have asked for it.
I hope everyone liked it...Please follow my blog if you like my creations.
Thanks to all for taking out time and visiting my blog. :)
